Deaf Athlete Hears for First Time!Mame Ndiagne Ndiaye, 31, is an athlete from Special Olympics Senegal that was able to hear for the first time thanks to hearing aides provided at the Healthy Hearing discipline of our Healthy Athletes program at Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019. Our data show our athletes have a greater amount of hearing loss & ear problems than the general population. With the support of our partners Starkey Hearing, Starkey Hearing Foundation & The Golisano Foundation we are working to eliminate this health disparity for people with intellectual disabilities because we know a successful athlete is a healthy athlete. #InclusiveHealth
