Accusé de viol, le photographe David Hamilton s’est suicidé

 Les pompiers ont été appelés peu après 20H30 pour une intervention à son domicile dans le sud de Paris et ont trouvé « une personne en arrêt cardio-respiratoire », a précisé une source des services de secours. Son décès a été constaté vers 21H30 et des médicaments ont été découverts à proximité du corps, a indiqué une source proche du dossier.  

Le célèbre photographe avait été récemment accusé de viol par plusieurs femmes, dont l’animatrice de télévision Flavie Flament. Il avait démenti ces accusations et affirmé son intention de porter plainte pour diffamation.

« Je suis innocent et dois être considéré comme tel », avait-il affirmé dans un communiqué transmis mardi à l’AFP.

Dans son livre « La consolation » (JC Lattès), Flavie Flament avait révélé avoir été violée il y a près de 30 ans par un photographe connu, dont elle ne dévoilait alors pas le nom.

Après la parution de son livre, d’autres femmes avaient témoigné dans la presse, sous pseudonyme, et ont affirmé avoir subi le même sort pendant leur adolescence. L’animatrice avait fini par dévoiler le nom de son agresseur présumé la semaine dernière. « L’homme qui m’a violée lorsque j’avais 13 ans est bien David Hamilton », avait-elle affirmé dans un entretien filmé à L’Obs.
