Le pouvoir a déployé plusieurs dizaines de policiers pour déloger des familles qui squattaient des logements sociaux construits sous le premier mandat d’Ali Bongo. Le conflit est parti d’une incompréhension. Ali Bongo en 2009 avait promis de construire 35 000 logements durant son premier mandat. A cause de la crise, il n’en a construit que 1 300. A la veille de la dernière campagne électorale, ces logements ont été squattés par des dizaines de familles. Tous sont aujourd’hui obligés de partir par la force
